'Sociaal Restaurant T'Paviljoentje'

A new pavilion is being built between the hospital and the art academy, it is meant to become a place where people can meet each other.
I was warmly welcomed in Geraardsbergen by several people and found a home in Goeferdinge where I'm welcome to stay-over. By spending time in the commune, I learnt that a 'social restaurant' is missing in the city. Many Belgian cities have a social restaurant, where healthy and cheap lunch is provided and people can meet each other easily (it is often my favorite 'entrance' into an unknown place)
So we decided to turn the pavilion temporarily into 'Sociaal Restaurant T'Paviljoentje' from Monday 25th of November until Friday 29th of November, we'll serve lunches from 12-14h. Everyday someone else will cook! We'll create everything by hand, from the tableware to the food, with many local people.
I want to thank Anne Fonteyne for her hospitality, Joke Claessens for the conversations on social work, Arne Dewinde for the invitation and jokes, everyone involved in T'Huizeke for the warm welcome, Rina Cosyns for the bureaucratic help, Annelies Bousard for the great ceramist-work, Alexander Vermoere for the beautiful work in the art academy,... and many more in the upcoming weeks.
